Edward Dunning was a leading Hannibal merchant in 1851, selling dry goods, hats and caps for boys and men and queensware from his shop on Main Street, along Commercial Row. He became a cholera vi

ctim quite unexpectedly. The day before his death he in was in Hannibal and enjoyed a hearty bowl of turtle soup.
