Circa 1923: Cousins on Virginia Street

My cousin, Cathi Conner McDade, visited Hannibal from Portland, Ore., during mid May, and brought with her, her mother's childhood photos. Frances Turner Robinson (born in 1919) grew up on Virginia Street in Hannibal, Mo., the only child of Thomas Charles Robinson and Essie Mable Turner Robinson.

T.C. Robinson's twin brother, Robert Bowman Robinson, lived across the street along with his family, including my mother, Mary Louise Robinson (born 1916).

Here is a picture of Mary Louise, left, and Francis, riding their tricycles and holding balloons.

T.C. and Essie Robinson lived at 240 Virginia (pictured) until about 1925, when they built a house next door, located

at 242 Virginia.
