Donna Toalson: A real tomboy

Donna Toalson shimmies up a porch post while her uncle, Kenneth Brooks, waits on the roof. This photo was published in Look Magazine on Sept. 3, 1957. A photographer and reporter scoured Hannibal for a representative "tomboy" in Sam Clemen's image. They followed Donna for a day, going wherever she went. Donna Toalson, age 68, now makes her home in Hannibal. She is the daughter of the late Roy D. and Rosalee Brooks Toalson.
