1870s composite

This photo composite, originally created by Mrs. George Storrs, was published in the June 30, 1938 edition of the Hannibal, Missouri, Evening Courier-Post. The numbers on the picture itself correspond with the names in the attached cutline.

I picked out members of the Herrick family, who were related to Dorcas Hampton, aka "The Notorious Madam Shaw," the subject of the biography I completed about five years ago. I had never seen a photo of George Herrick, number 24 in this photo.
