Steam press made debut in Sioux City, Iowa 1873
Here's a fun clipping that my fellow history buffs, Ken and Lisa Marks of Hannibal, should appreciate. They hosted Hannibal's first Big River Steampunk Festival on Labor Day Weekend, and hopefully it will become a tradition in Hannibal, Missouri.

The Journal of the 21st announces that the first press worked by steam, was started the evening before, leaving “big John,” their crankman, an idle spectator.
