Memories, if written down, last longer than a lifetime
Since the first of the year, I've been reading the writings of William Scott Meyer I, Hannibalian and author of a trillogy of books published during the 1960s.
Scott and Jean Meyer and their family shared two of the elder Meyers books with me, and I am mesmerized by the stories regarding Hannibal's past.
In my humble opinion, Scott I truly lived up to this sentiment; "The greatest use of life is to spend it on something that will outlast it." William James.
I have used one of Scott I's chapters as the basis of a story that will soon be printed in the Hannibal Courier-Post.
