1875: Collision on the K.C.&C.B. Railroad; Conductor Farwell killed

Mr. John H. Hill has just received a telegram notifying him of the death of D.G. Farwell, Esq., conductor on the Council Bluffs railroad. He was killed this morning by a collision. His remains will arrive Monday on the 4:45 p.m. train, and be conveyed from the depot immediately to Riverside Cemetery. Friends and family are invited attend without further notice.
