Educator Leolia Reynolds met with Mark Twain in 1902
This photo, the property of the Mark Twain Museum in Hannibal, shows Mark Twain with some members of the class of 1901 of Hannibal High School.
The photograph was taken by flashlight camera in the upstairs parlor room of the Windsor Hotel. The room was located at the southeast corner of the second floor, the windows facing Church Street and South Main Street. There were fifteen students who graduated from Hannibal High School in 1901, from records in the Hannibal High School files. The students standing behind Mark Twain in the photograph, from left to right, are Helen Labsap, Harriett Newcomb Watson, Albert Ayers, Leolia Reynolds, Frances Steers and Jean Gilman Eby.
