What was happening in Hannibal 100 years ago today?
The eighth annual regatta of the Mississippi Valley Power Boat Association. An estimated 10,000 people were in town for the event, which featured boaters from throughout the nation.
Among the events for July 9, 1915 were a 10-mile cruiser race and a free-for-all 20-mile race.
