Bowling Green church springs to life as war between the states ends
Please join me in reading this amazing story from Pike County, Mo., regarding a church that came to life as the Civil War ended. - MARY LOU MONTGOMERY
Written beautifully, and published in the Hannibal Courier-Post, the story begins:
"Toward the end of the Civil War, when homes were divided, cities were destroyed and it appeared the nation would never be united again, a new Baptist church was born in Bowling Green. This year, 2015, marks its 150th anniversary."
