Remember paper dolls?

I recently saw a framed reproduction of a sheet of paper dolls - the kind that my generation enjoyed. I was instantly pulled to the wall art, with all the associated memories from my childhood.

Remember cutting so carefully around those little tabs so that they would hold on to the paper doll? I can see myself sitting at the coffee table in our living room, working diligently so that all the dresses and accessories were neatly trimmed. The dolls themselves had cross pieces at the feet so the dolls could sort-of stand up.

Did these dolls come in something like coloring books? I seem to associate them withthe Sunday newspaper.
