Kansteiner Hardware Store had rich history in post-Civil War Hannibal

Sue Hart worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., on Broadway in downtown Hannibal for 35 years. In the same block was the Kansteiner Hardware Store, located on the corner of Broadway and Eighth streets. The Kansteiner family first opened the hardware store shortly after the Civil War, and it continued in operation until October 1957.
